Radiance through Moving Breath and Body
Movement and Breath Class
Radiant movement and breath classes are designed to reset the sympathetic nervous system, clear energy pathways, and form deeper connections to our life force energy, enthusiasm, joy and radiance. The movement portion of class is typically focused on qigong, an ancient healthcare system that integrates gentle, rhythmic yet powerful movement with breath. Qi may be translated as life force or vital energy (similar to prana in the yogic tradition). Working with our qi creates a deep internal awareness and influences dimensions of our being beyond our muscles. Through qigong, we increase our vitality, build stamina and improve our immune, cardiovascular, respiratory, circulatory, lymphatic and digestive systems. After enriching our system through qigong, we sit for breath exercises from the yoga system, known as pranayama. Additional information regarding pranayama may be found below.
The schedule for online group classes may be found on the website’s homepage.
Radiant Body Yoga and Energy Class
Radiant Body Yoga includes a combination of asana (yoga poses to improve flexibility, strength and balance), kriya (movement and breath sequences designed to promote particular energetic effects), breath exercises (to balance, calm or energize), and relaxation.
Energy practices focus on opening your internal meridian or energetic pathways for optimum health and vitality. Flowing standing movements are designed to promote the circulation of energy for body, mind and spirit.
Classes, which are one hour in length, include a combination of these practices to activate your energy, calm your nervous system, improve your muscle tone and flexibility, resulting in greater health and vitality.
Breath and Meditation Class
Breath exercises (pranayama) systematically control the breath through which life force energy is stimulated, expanded and balanced. Through breath exercises you positively impact your nervous system reducing restlessness and anxiety, promoting positive mental and emotional states. Studies have found a beneficial impact of pranayama on the heart, the brain, digestion and the immune system.
Meditation encourages a deeper state of awareness and attention. Meditation may have a focus on the body, mind, heart, or movement. Studies have found many emotional and physical benefits of meditation, including the reduction of stress and anxiety, deeper self-awareness and attention span, improved memory and alertness, decreases in blood pressure, improved sleep and pain perception, increased mood and altruistic behavior.
Classes, which are one hour in length, begin with intention setting and include guided light physical movement to activate your body preparing you to sit for pranayama and meditation.

Michelle is truly gifted when working with older clients. She could easily adapt to my mother's changing moods, cognitive state and physical requirements with humor and grace. My mom loved having Michelle visit and now considers her a good friend. - Caroline B., Santa Fe, NM

What I really enjoy in Michelle’s classes is the relaxing way she presents the breathing exercises, with alternate time lengths for those who have trouble with the recommended timing -- she is very flexible and makes it easy for me to "succeed" at the exercise.
