About Michelle
I walk this path of energy and shamanic healing practitioner, yoga and qigong teacher, and ceremonialist because I believe that as we become more conscious of the infinite or spirit within, we act in ways that reflect a sense of peace and harmony and contribute to the peace and harmony of our world.
I reside in Santa Fe, New Mexico, my spiritual home in the U.S., the place I feel most fully alive, connected to my intuition, spirit, to the earth and her creatures.
I am an explorer at heart of the inner and outer worlds. My daily practices of yoga, hiking and earth rituals take me deep into the inner worlds. My love of experiencing new places and people has led me to visit 34 states and 50 countries. As a SHE-CAN Global volunteer, I mentor college students from post-conflict countries.
I have a fondness for farmers markets and colorful, healthy vegetarian meals. Part of my meditation practice is weaving both baskets and on a loom. Swimming in the ocean lifts my spirits, and though the waves are a distance from my current home, I have previously lived on both U.S. coasts.
My academic degrees are from Mount Holyoke College AB and Boston College MA in English Literature. Additionally, I have an End of Life Doula Certificate from the University of Vermont, a certificate in Education and Management from the Higher Education Research Service Institute, and a certificate in Diversity and Mediation from the National Coalition Building Institute. In my former career, I was a higher education dean, teacher of: critical reading and writing, professional communication, leadership, and a 3-week peace & justice studies class in India. Bridging my past and current professional paths, in 2021, I served as a Bartos Fellow for the Constructive Engagement of Conflict teaching Seeking Peace Within and Without and Tap into Positivity at the United World College-USA. And I am also a licensed interfaith minister.
